It's a cloud-inspired ceiling sculpture that will hang in the skylight and atrium of a North Carolina hospital. The entire piece will hang 18 feet wide by 12 feet deep by 12 feet tall. It will be made of steel tubing frames covered by sheer fabric, similar to White Ribbons and Towering Sails. Stay tuned to see progress!
In April, we mentioned a 25-foot tall mobile we made for a new hospital in New Hampshire. Our client recently sent images of the mobile being installed and fully hanging. We didn't install this particular piece, so it's fun to see someone else do all the work!
Bloomberg Businessweek featured our Ekko Workshop Elliptical Desktop Mobile among its favorite well-designed distractions, aka "grown-up desk toys that improve workspaces and give brains a break." We're happy to receive such an honorable distinction!
The Museum at Prairie Fire has been open for business a few weeks now. If you're in the Kansas City area, be sure to pop in to check out our Pterodactyl mobiles in the lobby! We hear the rest of the museum is pretty awesome, too. (World's largest dinosaur exhibit. Need we say more?)
Back in January, the behind-the-scenes gal around here resolved to update the Ekko Mobiles website. By the end of June, so she could blissfully enter summer without that big website project hanging overhead.

A couple of years ago, we installed a large 12-foot wide mobile in the modern lobby of an affordable housing facility in San Jose. And we just got our hands on the most beautiful professional images of the place!

We're doing a project for a resort in Hawaii, and we recently returned from a site visit. With all due respect to every other project we've ever completed, this might be our favorite locale yet.
