Portugal Mobiles En Route!

Phew, it’s been a full December! Matt has spent a chunk of winter break getting the two mobiles for the Portuguese architecture firm completed and shipped. Here they are in the shop. We can’t wait to see pictures of them installed!

Pittsburgh Residence Lighting Fixture

Earlier this year, we sent off this light fixture mobile to a lovely family who had built a mid-century style home in Pittsburgh. We just received these photos of the installed fixture, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see it in its gorgeous home. Merry Christmas to us!

Portugal Archicture Firm Mobiles

Back in October, Matt and his wife vacationed in Portugal. Ironically, while IN Portugal, the CEO of a Porto, Portugal-based architecture firm contacted Matt about creating some mobiles for the firm’s new showroom. Alas, Matt didn’t have time to jet up to Porto to see the space in person, but it will still a delightful coincidence. And he’s thrilled to be working on that project right now.

One mobile is a mid-century piece that will be a focal point in showroom’s two story space. Another single-story space will feature a mobile featuring a flock of birds. Below are some in-progress sneak peeks before they ship later this month.

Unfortunately, Matt won’t be installing the mobiles, but he’s hoping to return to Portugal sooner than later to see the mobiles in their spaces!

Cafe O'Lei Maui Mobile Renderings

We don’t like to play favorites, but we REALLY love Hawaii, so we’re happy anytime we get a project that will reside on the islands. This time, we’re creating a hanging mobile that will hang in Cafe O’Lei, a family-owned restaurant on Maui. The restaurant is right on the ocean, so we were tasked with something that evokes an ocean-like feeling. We think the wave-like shapes and movement of this mobile will fit the bill!
