Last month, we mentioned one of the projects we’re working on this year: a 8-foot tall, 10-foot wide mobile of brightly colored acrylic shapes. The mobile will hang in a new children’s hospital in San Antonio. We’re still chugging away on the piece–and here’s a small peek at one of the shapes. Right now, the estimated install date is early May. Stay tuned!
Mobile #2 At Home
Here’s Mobile #2, which we mentioned back in December, in its new home. We love seeing pictures of our mobiles in their intended environment, so if you’ve got pics, send ‘em this way!
Large Ovals at Home
This just in: photos of our 15-foot Large Ovals (see October 24, 2008) in its final home!
As Seen in...Dwell!
Be sure to check out the February 2009 issue of Dwell magazine. On page 46, you’ll find a photo with a custom-colored Flight in the background!
Imagine...
Imagine this:
...but 8-feet tall, 10-feet wide, with brightly colored acrylic shapes. That’s one of the many exciting projects in our queue this year. Stay tuned!
Happy Holidays!
We have been too snowed over (both figuratively and literally) with the holiday rush to give this blog the attention it deserves. But we’d like to wish you all happy holidays and best wishes for the new year!
(It's a good thing this mobile-maker can walk to work. The show must go on!)
Mobile #2
Our new friends in Erie, Pennsylvania were happy with their 15-foot ovals mobile (See October 24), so they came back for more. We love repeat customers!
Below are images (taken in our studio) of the second mobile we created for their offices. It’s a 4-foot tall, 7-foot wide piece with plenty of movement.
North Austin Women's Hospital
Matt just returned from a trip to Texas, installing a mobile in the nearly-completed North Austin Women’s Hospital. Below are a few photos of the final piece. Bear in mind–it’s practically impossible to photograph a 30-foot mobile hanging from a stairwell, so be sure to check out the graphic rendering posted on September 25!
Glass Balance
One of our favorite things? Seeing one of our piece in its final home. So we were excited to receive these photos from the new owner of our Glass Balance:
We love how the sun shines through the glass. Stunning!
Many thanks to Leah Pellegrini, our talented glass artist. We hope these photos generate many more projects incorporating glass, because Leah was a dream to work with!
