We don’t like to play favorites, but we REALLY love Hawaii, so we’re happy anytime we get a project that will reside on the islands. This time, we’re creating a hanging mobile that will hang in Cafe O’Lei, a family-owned restaurant on Maui. The restaurant is right on the ocean, so we were tasked with something that evokes an ocean-like feeling. We think the wave-like shapes and movement of this mobile will fit the bill!
SMU Peruna Sculpture Image
We’ve taken some time recently to round up professional images of some of our projects recently, and we’re THRILLED to get this beautiful picture of our Peruna Sculpture, installed in Southern Methodist University’s 2024 stadium expansion.
Even More Copper Ribbon Mock Ups!
Hope you’re not sick of these, because there’s lots of copper mesh in our/your future!
Ocean Wave Sketches
We’re in the brainstorming process for an ocean-inspired mobile. Here are some quick sketches. More details coming soon!

We got our hands on more great images! This was a project we completed in December 2023 for the lobby of Austin’s Texas Children’s Hospital. The colorful forms are a nod to the region’s stalactite-filled caves.
In case you missed it in this really long update, here’s a news story of the hospital’s CEO standing right in front of our sculpture. Watch news story
And here’s a fun time-lapse Instagram post of the installation. Watch Instagram video
And here’s the sculpture in our online gallery. Go to Gallery

Look!!!! We just got our hands on professional images of the ceiling sculptures we created for Children’s Nebraska Hospital! We made this in collaboration with artist Daniel Goldstein. We love how these pictures capture the beautiful space and the way the piece flows through it.

Hermiston Public Library Butterflies Installation
We drove three hours down the road for this installation in Hermiston, Oregon, where we hung 150 butterfly shapes from the ceiling of the newly remodeled public library.
We left town before the scaffolding was removed, but these pictures give you a sense of the project. The butterflies cover an area 18 feet long by 12 feet wide by 7 feet tall. We created three species of butterflies from laser-cut acrylic and heat formed each set of wings by hand so they appear in flight.
The client requested something colorful that children would look forward to seeing, and we hope this does the trick!
Ekko Mobiles Sighting: Allstate Commercial Edition
It’s always fun to spot our mobiles in the wild. Eagle-eyed Matt and son were delighted to catch this while watching college football one Saturday afternoon—a tiny glimpse of our Moderne Red Mobile in the background of Allstate’s “Check First Bark” commercial.
(If you’ve seen our mobiles anywhere be sure to let us know!)
Hermiston Library Butterflies
We’re prepping these butterflies for an installation next week at Hermiston Public Library, just three hours down the road from us!
